Park or in any other armata habitat but I like to do this one day ( but now I'm afraid of killerboboons ;-) ) I'm looking for armata since a long time and I'm very ha...

Re: Bitis armata

Hello Rob
Yes I must say I have a lot of fun with them.
They are very active ( maybe more than other Dwarfbitis) and eating like hell. So far I can say, that they are easy to keep. I hope they still doing well in the future but I´m in confidence.

Thanks so far to all

Re: Bitis caudalis many horned and some others

I will attempt to mate a male B.cornuta with a female Rosh Pinah caudalis in the next few months , I already attempted male cornuta & female limpopo but the male cornutas showed no interest even though both species and sexes were active with their own kind at the time of the experiment, the fem...

Re: Bitis caudalis many horned and some others

I personally haven't seen many caudalis from Northern Cape which resemble BV's snake. I have however seen caudalis with identical markings and colouration from between Aus and Keetmanshoop in Namibia. If it matters it is also my OPINION that none of the caudalis in this thread are hybrids nor cornu...

Re: Bitis caudalis many horned and some others

Sorry I ment Horned Adder with many Horns. Sorry for my english
On the pictures are no B. cornuta shown.
But the B. caudalis with the many Horns is also not from the coast as far as I know its from around Rosh Pina. B. cornuta is reported there but I don´t think that thats a Hyprid.

Re: Bitis caudalis many horned and some others

The Bitis atropos are captive breed from Europe but the parents should from mpumalanga thats what I know so far about the locality. I have only bad pictures from the Baby peringueyis and one from my adults at the moment. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8151/7617959820_5778966a66_z.jpg http://farm9.sta...
