Concerning their diet, you can feed them crickets. They catch them without a problem. Avoid feeding mealworms more then once a week and make sure you don’t add more in then what they will consume straight away. Once they are juveniles start reducing the feeding to every second day as they get obese ...
You can toss the idea of skin texture as some toads will not fit the profile. I stand to be corrected, but toads are a family (Bufonidae) within frogs.
The first photo looks like Afrana angolensis (Common river frog) and the second Bufo gutturalis . I will suggest for ID that when you photograph specimens take clear ventral and dorsal shots.
