Re: White and Yellow Murphys Patternless

Part two Okay so the stripe is lighter than the general colour of the background of the leo and it has two dark stripes running on both sides of the light stripe. You also get broken stripes which are actually jungles but act differently. The same applies here, stripes and broken stripes cannot be v...

Re: White and Yellow Murphys Patternless

Morne basically summed it up best. Will keep het updates rolling. Frank: You claimed your extensive knowledge so I thought you already knew that the Tremper albino has its own unique way of producing eye pigmented Eclipse animals without any Eclipse or RAPTOR background lineage. Matt Baronak, I refe...

Re: White and Yellow Murphys Patternless

What I am trying to explain with no avail is that the W&Y trait on itself is a dominant trait but if hypomelanism is present in the gene polygenism is a significant factor. Like I tried explaining before to you Francois Leopard gecko genetics is more complex than just categorizing a gene to a ce...

Re: White and Yellow Murphys Patternless

To answer your question Henry yes as much as the white and yellow gene is dominant/ co dominant (please lets not start a war on which is correct both seem to be thought of equally) but does act polygenetic as when adding carrot tailing, increasing pigment to eliminate hypomelanism which is common to...

Re: White and Yellow Murphys Patternless

some say the white and yellow gene is dominant some say co dominant heterozygous + homozygous where both forms look identical. The major difference between a homozygous white and yellow and yellow heterozygous white and yellow is that if you had to breed your homozygous W&X to a normal 100% of t...

Stargazing recessive disorder: South Africa

So most of us are familiar with the Spider ball pythons neurological disorder and Boa constrictors displaying stargazing traits but what many are not aware of is that the ever so popular corn snake suffers with its own form of stargazing which is completely different to any other neurological disord...

Re: some new additions to the breeding mix

Awesome corns.
The butter stripe is a double recessive mutation (a combination of amelanistic and caramel).
So in essence because it is already homozygous for the caramel gene your snake is a Butter stripe (het for nothing).

Re: Berber Skink Substrate

Yes not always but the few honest petshops know who they are and have good reputations such as Repzotix.
Please don't denote me over a misunderstanding. I meant most so I apologise if you have an honest establishment and I offended you.

Re: To breed or not to breed: Enigmas

Everyone is always quick to judge everyone on here. Maybe you should look further and see your own mistakes! (ganging up against one person just shows everyone who you truly are). Take a look and see who you are becoming. The animals are what should be important and their health not your wealth. The...
