I to feel your pain, as i have removed car seats and dashboards just to find a harmless house snake.It is all fun and games and one extra story to talk about around the camp fire :-)

The biggest Mamba i have ever seen was at Fitzsimons Snake Park a good couple of years ago when i was i youngster i would estimate it was about 2.7m and 10cm in girth i still thought to my self that i would die happy trying to catch a beast that size

If you want my opinion its not a Western Striped Bellied Sand Snake because it does not have the distict yellow/white stripe running down on it's belly.My opinion is Short-snouted sand snake (Psammophis brevirostris)
