Rage, the babies were dead when eaten. They don't waste protein. You will find that the pinks are a lot less hardy than mice, and will easily die, especially when its cold. Also, I find that the whole first litter will die off, but from the second litter, they are fine.

If it was my parrot, and I had a chainsaw in my hand, who knows what might have happened in the heat of the moment? What I do know, is that people should confine their pets, or take responsibility for what happens if they don't. As for taking pleasure in the oke's demise? Please man, thats sick.

For those that don't know Sorry, having an electronics background, I just assumed everybody knew what I am talking about.  Froot, why I went for 1A, was to give my about 300% safety factor (no unnecessary blown fuses), while I knew the fuse was still going to blow in the event of a cat...

I just addad a 1A fuse in series with each of my heating pads. (Soldered into the wire and heatshrinked.) At a cost of about R2 per pad, it gives me cheap peace of mind.

Sorry to hear about your loss man, I can only imagine how you feel. It is easy to comment in hindsight, but this might help you in future. If you need to "halve" 220V AC, to match American standards, just wire a diode of suitable current rating in series with your heating pad. This will in...

Fires are usually caused by "Hot connections". These would include any screw on a plug or connector block that is not screwed tight. One of the culprits here is the so-called "Chocolate" connector blocks. Their screws strip thread easily, and form a "hot" connection. Al...

The L.mexicanus complex and the mountain kings will hardly ever musk you. BTW, they don't excrete, but empty a musk gland as a self defence weapon. Also, they will stop musking when used to handling, and as they grow older. Hope this helps.

I cannot get hold of this mulch locally. Am I correct in assuming that this mulch mostly consists of dried eucalyptus leaves with some bark, or is it composted?
