Re: a rinkhals

"which part is illegal?" Erm... the whole part? If you dont have a capture and release permit. Your entire "plan" is illegal as every part of it requires you to have the animal in your possession. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that snake. Can't see if it is a male or fe...

michael wrote:Firstly it is illegal to do that. This is a wild snake and should remain that way. If it dies from starvation or disease it provides a meal for something else. You put the animal at far more risk by keeping it and feeding it.

That is too broad a statement. Which part is illegal ?

Re: a rinkhals

Well that Rinkhals doesn't look normal, your catch and release permit gives you a timeframe to work in. Why not try.

Re: Smugglers at it again

As a general warning I would advise against protesting against them in public. My life has been threatened numerously. That is a problem on its own . People like you are just as lame as the guy handing out threats. You expect others to stand up to them after you've made them so use to getting away ...

Re: Smugglers at it again

I have mixed feelings on this one!! I think the jail sentence is harsh considering the fact that you are allowed to kill snakes but you can't collect them :smt011 If he was using crowbar type collecting and also in a protected area then by all means throw the book at him, but some of the comments h...

Re: Spiders in snake room and vivs.

They are there because of all the food, once the roaches disappear so do they. The amount of spiders is a good indication of the amount of food in your house. Also it doesn't help telling us about your spider problem if it's in the garage.

If you have a small pair of tweezers you can drop the prey item directly in front of the sling or touch the front legs and the sling should take the prey item.

Good advice.
