Snake eating blue headed lizard in Stellenbosch

Friend of mine was cycling yesterday and came across this snake eating a blue headed lizard near Stellenbosch mountain yesterday. My knee jerk reaction was this it is a tabak rolletjie, but on closer inspection of the higher resolution photos I received today I'm leaning more toward a less common co...

Is it OK to sex a yearling? it just seems a bit early in live, also could you harm or hurt the animal doing it? Which technique do you use?

Re: Juvinile corn

My Snow female used to shake her tail (rattle) every time I opened her enclosure, she calmed down after about a month of handling, she was about 6 months at the time. On the other hand my one male is so calm that when he is fed he will always take his feed gently when fed and pull a little on it unt...

The tail looked fine at the time but last night it seems...

Re: Need I.D Cornsnake Morph.

Chantal, Your snakes are stunning! I'm thinking one could have a new name for almost every color morph you have there, maybe we should just stick to classifying a morph as beautiful, nice or not :) @mailjvdb: Considering all that has been said here and Chantel's photo I would say that you have a Ame...

Re: Need I.D Cornsnake Morph.

Normal Okeetee has well defines black areas around the saddles.

http://www.cornsnakemorphgallery.com/okeetee/

I'm unclear on reverse Okeetee vs Albino (though albino was without pigment)

Amel doesn't have the white areas around the saddles.

Re: Need I.D Cornsnake Morph.

How did you "find" it?

And who neglects such a beautiful animal? Last week I saw a albino Burmese python that got burnt by an a open light bulb, I got so mad! luckily he is in good hands now.

Does look like reverse Okeetee.

Hope he brings you lots of joy.

Re: My second clutch

They look really wet, I wouldn't spray any water directly on the eggs, if you vermiculite was mixed correctly (1:1 in WEIGHT NOT VOLUME) and your "egg box" has no breathing holes, there should be no need to mist the eggs at all. Point taken, my mix was 1:1 in approx weight when I put it i...

Re: My second clutch

Hey guys, Please have a look, my eggs are looking a bit indented, could you please check if it seems OK? http://www.sareptiles.co.za/gallery/albums/userpics/14902/IMAG0431-01.jpg The one in the bottom right worries me especially, there were some vermiculite on it but it was only a few flecks.
