I see you referred to it as a he? As a male at full size around 2,5m would be accurate. If it is a female, then slightly larger. That probably explains the confusion.

Congrats, yes Wolf is correct B.c.imperator, otherwise known as the "common red tail boa".

I am not sure specifically for your problem, but Dr.Elliot at Onderstepoort has worked for me, and for everyone else I have heard of. Maybe give them a call and ask?
