Re: Herping the easy way - Marloth Park

It is in the "Reptiles indigenous to South Africa ‹ Indigenous reptile observation records" Section so I think it is in the correct place MV

They trying to get Eland now into the park as well, so next year there will be something different to look out for. They also wanting to find out more on the herp eco in the park as well which is am...

Re: Herping the easy way - Marloth Park

@Nvlooi - Did not get to see them this year unfortunitly, but isn't Marloth just the best? It is an open classroom with something new each year.

@Adriaan - You sure on that?...lol...keep the rest guessing.

Herping the easy way - Marloth Park

We recently went on holiday to a wonderful place next to the Kruger National Park. We got to see all of the big 5 (with lots more) and had to chase away the zebra that interupted our breakfast every morning. No electricity and just the feel of nature. It was amazing as always. We had not gone to go ...

Re: Reptile trade going from a roar to silence

I have different prices for my snakes. The lower end price was for sale to petshops so that they don't HAVE to charge high prices. I used to have hope that my price to the end buyer would more or less be the same. I was so wrong. My book is a case in point and I am going to be honest about the price...

Re: Id Please

The head is slightly blurred. Grey rats tend to have broader "jaw bones" than corns. My guess is leaning towards a corn snake morph though, but not too sure. Nice find and diffinitly one you won't get in trouble for keeping ;)

Re: Reptile trade going from a roar to silence

This problem has been in my thoughts too, but I think the problem is that when we sell a snake we create an enthusiasm to the buyer to become a breeder too. Roughly 2 years later that snake we sold is being bred and more baby's come into the market. That breeder though finds out that the reptile &qu...

Re: Can I put my male with my female?

I found that the males tend to be larger than the females in general. A smaller male is not a problem in regards to mating though.
