Very interesting GTP behavior

Hey guys, Finding mice in Cape Town can be difficult at times and so I've had to switch up my GTP's diet from time to time. Over the last little while I've tried Rat pups and noticed that they weren't too keen on them. One of my males was acting very strange and would take the rat pup at first and t...

GTP Exo-terra Viv

Hey guys, Went out and bought a vine and chucked it inside this exo-terra. Got some mulch as bedding and some fake leaves to finish it off. Here are some pics: http://i961.photobucket.com/albums/ae96/Brandcaul/059b6eaa.jpg http://i961.photobucket.com/albums/ae96/Brandcaul/2ebddfec.jpg http://i961.ph...

Re: High End Caging

@ BV - You know I'm just looking to expand my knowledge and all I was trying to do was get a "detailed" response as to how these cages keep heat during the colder times of the year. I tried twice and got responses from guys like you basically telling me to piss off... This wasn't a problem...

Re: High End Caging

I'm not so sure about these cages or any metal type cages for that matter. They might work well in theory, if you have a controlled room, but most of us out there dont have that and especially in the cooler climates I think they'd wind up being a lot of work for the owner.

Re: High End Caging

@Graeme - no problem boet. I'm just concerned that the aluminium would get really cold if the temps were to drop quickly like they do here in the cape. How does your guy insulate them? I personally would never chose aluminium as a caging material because of the heat and stability issue but maybe I'm...

Re: High End Caging

Thats a really nice looking cage. I do have a few concerns though... 1) I'd be worried about my snakes hanging onto those light fixtures and the risk of burns. 2) unless you have a temperature controlled room I think it would be an absolute mission keeping the temps where you want them. 3) I know ph...
