Re: Releasing of a baby puff-adder

Hahaha, T n S I could post a whole collage of puffies and it still wouldnt prove anything as their are no dates. Maybe I should buy a Herald newspaper every time I go on a callout and take a picture of the puffy next to the date ;) he he

I must say though, this season has been pretty quiet.

Re: SteveZi's Finds

That first pic of that P.crucifer almost looks like it's anery, very grey and black. A friend of mine went to a callout, upon arrival he found that the snake had escaped but the home owner had found eggs in his garden the previous day. The guy had thrown the eggs into the storm water drain outside t...

Re: Female Amel corn first clutch

Chopper, a compost heap is probably the warmest spot a snake could possibly lay it's eggs in a suburban environment. Compost heaps can actually get well over 30 to 40 degrees celsius, especially when grass clippings are involved, kind of clashes with the idea of keeping the eggs in a cool place. A g...

Re: Albino Burmese Python won't eat.

If your burm is healthy she can probably go several months without food no problem. Many people who religiously feed every so many days freak out when their snake misses a feed. There is no need to fret. Give the snake a chance to get hungry, wait a week or so and try again.
