Re: Corn snake eggs not hatching

Sorry forgot the pics. But yeah there was no way they could have cut those eggs open they were just too tough. The way I see it is they would have died in the egg regardless so if they dont make it now with the cut eggs then nothing lost nothing gained.

Re: Corn snake eggs not hatching

Ok so I cut the remaining eggs and I must say they were very hard, like they had dried out somewhat, I really doubt the snakes could have cut open these eggs. When I touched the one egg I saw the snake inside move so I took a closer look and inside the egg there is like a blood vessel similar to wha...

Re: Corn snake eggs not hatching

The eggs that seem like they're getting bumps etc i think are good candidates for cutting open.

Why would you say that?? What causes the bumps??

Re: Corn snake eggs not hatching

Hi

Just an update, they started hatching on Saturday (day 84). There are a few eggs that still look good but havent hatched yet... and a few eggs that look full and firm and white but the egg is getting slightly bumpy, not sure why??

Is cutting the eggs open not a bad thing??

Cheers

You could also offer if a fish which is not recorded in any Lamprophis diet.

I had a brown house a few years back that would quiet often eat fish out of the pond. I would give him some exercise on the pond and as the fish came to the top of the water he would snatch them.

Anyone use the stuff that you inject into the mouse?? I been reading up on it and it looks real good stuff. Is there any necessity to inject the mouse with these extra vitamins??
