Thanks for the advice on the Eucalyptus multch, I shall switch them back to their old substrate.
The cage is spot cleaned, as with all of my other cages. Just seems the smell stays around a while longer.

Hi Burmbuddy,

I use it in my bosc monitors cage with no problems at all. Keeps their awful smell at bay, may become a problem if somehow they ingest the mulch. I change the mulch every couple of weeks.But so far no problems at all. Works quite well.

What I've found Cazman, if my female is not interested in mating with the male, she will either stand and raise her tail, possibly attack him in annoyance or simply run away. If she was interested in mating, she would keep still. The male rather pinches the female, so I think that's what you are ref...

Hi Cazman, If you are going to use paper towels in the cage, perhaps, instead of placing the heatpad inside the cage as you may have previously done, rather place the heatpad under the cage itself. That way, the leos arent in direct contact with the heatpad. Tiles also work quite well, easy to clean...
