Re: Hunting at night D. polylepis

I have also removed alot of them at night, but it was just nice to see a predominantly diurnal species predating at such hours of the day in it's natural environment.

Hunting at night D. polylepis

I observed something interesting, a large D. polylepis hunting last night round about 21:00. It was very humid and overcast during the day. I just wonderd if any body else have noticed the same type of behaviour?

Re: VERY CLOSE ENCOUNTER

catfish spines can cause some nasty swelling and even fever my theory is that you stepped on one and when you pulled out the spine most of the venom got released almost the same as when you are stung by a bee and try to pull its out its sting. glad your ok

Re: Four years of searching and Eventually paid off [B. atropos]

Unfortunately people (privite collectors) don't know their limits and will in the proses destroy something beautiful without re thinking their actions and I know this is what is happening with B.atropos in some parts.

Re: Four years of searching and Eventually paid off [B. atropos]

I'm am aware of all of the above and restrict myself to field stydy and obsevation only and are very strict about their location won't likely tell someone about it.
I've also found them active in the mist at low tempratures usually in grass pockets quite a way from any rocky outcrops.
