Re: Leopard Tortuous eggs

Jacquesvw is right. However If the eggs are in an incubator and start to hatch it can take a few days for them to break open and come out. Tortoises crack the egg while they still have a big yolk sack and they need to absorb it all before coming out, they usually sleep in the egg while this happens....

Re: Death's just a bite away

And a lion charges. And tries to attack them. Yes he's probably going to shoot at the lion. He's not going to sit there and say no shame innocent animal we can't do that.! The lion was probably being territorial like I said! Only difference is that the mamba did not charge at the men and attack the...

Re: Death's just a bite away

The mamba in the story did absolutely NOTHING to deserve what it got, I'm pretty sure it was minding its own business, yes snakes aren't extremely clever and maybe they can wonder close to farms etc..and find themselves in trouble. Just because the snake is dangerous does not mean there is any reaso...

Re: Chobe National Park

Very nice.
There's no comparison between seeing these animals in a zoo or in the wild.

My dads record time for seeing the whole big five is now 35 minutes. None of those were sighted before by him.

Re: Baby Beardie not eating anything

It will need UVB globe and a basking light. I use a normal house bulb rather than the petshop bought basking lights because they are so expensive and never seem to last long.

Re: Baby Beardie not eating anything

linda wrote:they also didnt have a light for the baby's.
She was also told not to put a light in and to only use a heating pad.

This is backwards, they need lights and not heating pads.its probably not eating because its sleepy(because of no light)
