Good lord! that is long! wow... I'm surprised he didn't die of exhaustion lol.
Well, on this matter, my male did a good job she produced 16 healthy eggs all doing well, and guess what... yesterday (17/10/2010) they did it again for over an hour hehe.

So double clutching here we go!

You get them at Pick & Pay, the ones they sell are usually indoor - low light plants.
What substrate are you using?

Well as far as I know snakes cannot see color only differentiations of heat, aka cold-to-warm, and depth.
So I doubt that it will bother them, but the lamp is quite cheap (think I'm going to get myself one or two, thanks for the share.

Not sure about the colored glass, I know that green doesn't emit allot of heat, yellow works nice with live plants and emits a nice amount of heat.
How much did this cost you?

Sorry everyone... Ok, Serpy, after some checking and scale counts I found that this is very much likely Pituophis catenifer, the pacific gopher, does not have the shield nose look and the much larger head with extended head plates, different to other Pituophis species. I have the southern pine snake...
