First the adults:

Then the hatchlings:

later when they are juveniles:

And if I found time this week I will try to shoot a update because in the meanwhile they are subadult.

Any exotic chameleon other than Veiled chameleons or Panther chameleons is a rarity in South Africa, so this is wonderful to see. About photographing one’s chameleons regularly: They grow up so quickly! ;)

I have never even heard of these chameleons. Where are they originally from?

The genera trioceros occur mainly as montane species in East Africa
2:2 Pseudaspis cana
1:2 Dasypeltis scabra

And yes they are all on permit.

Thank you all!
They come original from the montane regions of Cameroon and Nigeria.
The good thing for keeping them in Belgium is that they can have daytemps between 17°C and 24°C and a nightdrop to 15°C is good but they can go to 10°C also. So easy to keep outside from the end of May till mid September.

Very nice!

It will be quite some time before we South Africans will get the chance to own some Peackock chameleons...
