New to T's and our first buys

Postby gekosin » Mon Jan 14, 2013 9:08 am

Morning All

So after doing alot of reading and getting info from our local pet supplier we have added 2 new "babies" to our family.

1 x Honduran Curlyhair (Brachypelma albopilosum)
1 x Peruvian Flame Rump (Thrixopelma Ockerti)

They are still very small slings but as with all our other pets we will make sure they are looked after the way they should be :)

The great thing is if we do ever have problems we are able to contact the seller directly, hopefully we wont have any issues though.

So far so good we have had our little guys for a few weeks and they finally molted :) really glad they seem happy.

The Curly has made many intricate little tunnels all over this glass box and the Peruvian has started making a web.

Ah, Thrixopelma ockerti. One of my firm favourites. When I got mine about 2 years back, they were still super rare. Enjoy them :3

No, not anymore. All of mine at the Moment are too agressive and the only one I was able to handle just died of old age. Though I shant handle one ever again, as last time I did, I was in sever pain for two weeks. I got Urticating hairs in my Left eye. Not fun

If you're into the whole arboreal thing, then I would go for the Psalmopeous irminia next
