also is U.planimanus bigger than U.carinatus.
U.planimanus is about 60-70mm long, and U.carinatus is about 30-35mm long.

Anway, the burrowing scorpion is O. glabrifrons

the small scorpion is Uroplectes species and i think the species is planimanus.

Thank you Alex, they do bear a striking resemblance! I'm also waiting for a reply from Jonathan Leeming. This scorpion only 30-35mm long, so that might be it then.

@Doug Anderson - Are you Scorpion from tarantulas.co.za? If it is U.planimanus, wouldn't they be from Namibia then? After your answer on the other forum I did some research, and the internet states that U.planimanus is from Northern Namibia. Also the pics on the web, the U.planimanus looks much more yellow than the one I have, but this might obviously be due to the range it came from.

As I say, my knowledge is limited when it comes to Scorpions and their species. I'm as confused as can be by now. lol!

My first thoughts were Uroplectes triangulifer? The only thing is those look much lighter than the U. triangulifer that I've seen.

After doing intensive research and questioning many people, I also believe it to be Uroplectes planimanus. Atleast after the whole episode I gained much knowledge

I know I'm like 2 years late, but I'm new on the forum, so forgive me :P

It looks like Uroplectes triangulifer. Very common species and legal to keep as it is of the Buthidae family.
