No they are not, they just look like scorpions because of the pincers.....

They are harmless, the "stinger" is actually a type of "snorkel" if you wish, that is used to breathe.

But they can bite, and it hurts! trust me!

They hurt like bloody hell! Maybe im just a baby. Or just never expected to get stung or bitten. Compares alot to a bee sting.
