Pachnoda

Postby coleosse » Wed Nov 14, 2012 7:17 pm

Hello all the world! :)

I am French, I found this forum incidentally. By searching pictures of cétoines.
I am stockbreeder of cétoines for my passion.
I like very much Pachnoda. There are a lot of kinds of different colours!
To you, in South Africa, there are several spécis.

Here is the list that they overlooked me another Internet site:
1. Pachnoda cordata (Drury, 1773).
2. Pachnoda discolor Kolbe, 1895.__ (I have)
3. Pachnoda picturata Boheman, 1860.
4.1. Pachnoda sinuata sinuata (Fabricius, 1775).
4.2. Pachnoda sinuata calceata Harold, 1878.
4.3. Pachnoda sinuata flaviventris (Gory & Percheron, 1833).

I have too Pachnoda sinuata live but I do not know which subspecies!

Would stockbreeders have it one or several?
I definitely want to buy grubs or imagos!

There are certainly errors in this text! Sorry!

Thank you very much for your answer!

Best regards
Chris

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the forum.

We do not have many breeders of Cetoniinae in South Africa. But, there are a few hobbyists who breed fruit Chafers. Pachnoda sinuata is easy to get hold of, in South Africa. But, one requires an export permit to send the imagos/pupae overseas.Applying for the permit is a long, tedious process that often ends in failure.

If not for that, I would gladly have helped you.

I would suggest that you contact Bombi(on his e-mail address not via PM), he is a Czech breeder who specializes in African Cetoniinae. He might be able to help you. Here is a link to his profile. http://www.sareptiles.co.za/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=11250

The one aspect that people try to remove from naturalism, and that is to me the most important, is prayer. Without Prayer I would not have managed to do half the things that I have done successfully.

A small colony of Oxyhaloa dubia, two Tivia sp., an unidentified species of Cockroach, 8 tadpoles, 3 dogs, 4 cats, a budgie, and some other random animals.
