Anyone know what type of mantis this is, does not look like any I have seen before.
Its still really small so cant really identify it by looking on the net.

Miomantis caffra, when they're small the colours vary from brown with stripes or green. [urlhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miomantis_caffra][/url], After searching some images i've found small Miomantis caffra looking exactly like that.

Maybe someone else can confirm if it's correct or not.

Have lots of green little ones running around the house.

I am not sure but from the photo I would say that this is a mantisfly and not a mantis at all. The wings seem to be transparent and large and the body is fat and 'wasp' shaped. The antennae look as well. Could be my eyes! Or my laptop screen... or both. Any chance of other photos? In the meantime I have added a photo of a Malaysian mantisfly that has similar attributes to your photo.

Ok it is definetly a mantisfly(was kinda wondering about the wings) It flys and I thought it looked too strange for a mantis strange.
Thanks for the ID.
