Holding thumbs - Rosy boas

I acquired a trio rosy boas (Lichanura trivirgata) a few months ago,so they were cooled allready for about two months.After the feedup,only the one ovulated.The male mated loads of times with both females,but only the one took by the looks of it.Anyway.She is very close,shedded two days ago.Christmas babies perhaps?Hold thumbs all goes smoothly.

Here is the stud boy.He is in the blue now and hasn't eaten since he started mating.I noticed rosy boas only mate about 10-15minutes at a time,but many times a day.


Here is the other girl.She is still feeding,but actually starting to put on a bit of weight,but I doubd that she is gravid.


And here is the gravid girl,freshly shedded .

Those are really pretty. Despite the babies being so small they usually feed well on pinks. Well done Ferdo.

Thanks guys.I read somewhere of their strange shedding pattern.Is it true that they drop within three weeks of the pre-lay shed?The male bit me as a feeding responce once.I must say that I was VERY surprised how strong the grip is on that little snake
I am honestly not too fond of sandboas, but these looks and feels like polished glass

Thanks Rishaad and Martin.Ye-I love them to bits She is starting to move around on and off the heat quite a it today.Usaully she is wrapped up under the paper on the heat in a tight coil.
