My Male Emerald Tree Boa

Postby sachak » Tue Oct 20, 2009 10:04 am

Hi All, just wanted to share a photo of my emerald tree boa.

Its still quite young as you can see the orange pigment on its head still.
He is very tame and eats well, I will take a shot where you can see his head properly soon.

Hope you all enjoy the photo.

Absolutely stunning. Im sure this makes a stunning display animal for any lounge.
And God has Created every animal from water, of them are some creeping on their bellies, some walk on two legs, and some on four. God Creates what He wills, for sure God has Power over all things. (Noble Quran 24:45)

Thanks guys, he is a little stunner and fierce eater, really happy with this snake! and I am even more happy that he is so calm, never tried to bite me yet never even so much as hissed at me and has a very strong grip for his size!

Sachak do you spray them directly with water or is this a result of the humidity? have you got it in a display cage? pics pics pics please!!

I don't have them anymore unfortunately :(

I never spray them directly, they have very sensitive sensory heat pits and if you spray them directly it shocks there system by giving a sensory overload, what I did was spray from above through the cage mesh if need be but the set up I had was a rainmaker system so I didnt need to really spray much, you can spray them but always spray from above never spray directly into there face.

Hope that helps :)

What an awesome setup, and a really pretty snake. Why did you sell it?

Yea they were unbelivably pretty snakes and very good temperement.

I sold them because I had spent way way way too much money on setting them up, much more than I had anticipated to spend so I sold them to cover my losses financially.
I will get more at some stage but this time I will be prepaired for them and I have come up with a very good setup that should be a self sufficiant setup with very little maintenance.

Setting them up properly is perhaps something to discuss here on the forum.
