A bunch of photos of a few of my Amazons!

Postby Charles » Fri Jun 18, 2010 3:06 am

Recently I took some outdoor photos of a few of my Amazons from my Red x Red/White pairing from '09 that turned out pretty nice so I thought I would share them. I have also included a few pics of some more Amazons that are in my collection. Hope you enjoy!

This is a female I picked up over a year ago and hope to breed her with the male posted below next season.

This male is wild caught and was not in the best condition when it arrived but is really turning around and hope to breed him next season. He is still in quarantine and will be for the next couple of months.

I agree with Mitton. It will be super interesting to see how she turns out as an adult.
Those who have made no mistakes have learned nothing and can teach nothing.
The same is true of those who continue to make the same mistakes.

Thank you so much everyone for the wonderful comments!!
The photos I took of 008 are just a few from a photo session of about 60 real good photos.
It definitely didn't hurt to have such an awesome subject to shoot, she really made it easy for me.
Both 008-009 were born a light orange with dark spots which faded rather quickly and since then been turning more and more solid red. They both resemble the mother so much and the other two resemble the father which is pretty cool. Normally I like red eyes but with most solid reds that I have come across red eyes are the norm and 008 has these fascinating metallic gold eyes that are really neat. The pictures sort of show the color of her eyes, and 008 is the largest in the litter almost double the size of 009 and slightly larger than 006. I just thought some of you might be interested in that info.
Thanks again and I'm glad you enjoyed the photos!!
