I know I posted these in a different thread last week, so I hope it's still ok if I submit them here.

In light of the tragic news received this morning, I won't be taking any more photo's of my big guy for a while...

Thanks for looking, apologies to those who have seen the pics before:)
One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

This is my entry for the action shot. Please bare in mind the extreme action a Rinkhals uses to throw its venom. I timed it with one shot (no continuous shooting) so that I would catch the venom spray. Please also take note that the snake is in focus as well as sharp. To achieve that I focused on the snake where I knew the point it would spray would be.

Image

This is my entry for the aesthetic shot. It is the same snake as the action shot. I find it to be quite beautiful even though it's not the best looking specimen.

If I'm gonna be an old, lonely man, I'm gonna need a thing, you know, a hook, like that guy on the subway who eats his own face. So I figure I'll be Crazy Man with a Snake, y'know. Crazy Snake Man. And I'll get more snakes, call them my babies, kids won't walk past my place, they will run. "Run away from Crazy Snake Man, " they'll shout!”
