Namaqualand snakes

I had an 85cm coral snake at Goegap a few years back and I have heard records of larger ones from the area, inc yours.

I was not aware of anyone doing research on the dwarf adders upe there; Northern Cape Nature Conservation usually let me know. I am also working on temp and activity cycles on B.armata and B.rubida, so it could be of mutual interest.

Great post! Not my home... but I still miss it. The H.signatus signatus we found in typical H.s.signatus habitat varied quite a bit so I don't think these would be the 2 subspecies, but I'm not a specialist either.

Tony, surely you know Bryan Maritz who is working with B.schneideri at the moment?

Westley... still up for October? ;)

I'm definitely still up for a trip home.

As long as you don't go and freeze or pickle everything ;)

I only freeze roadkills and pickle specific requests for the scientists ;) All I want is a wide angle shot of a black spitter in Goegap ... and a week away from Gansters Paradise!

I'll try and get last year's permit renewed soon. Lets see if the 250 records we collected can get me in NatCons good books :)
