It looks like a short snouted grass snake (P. brevirostris) with odd colouration. Where was it found?

We stay in Ballito, KZN. Yesterday was a Vine Snake. They coming out in droves.

Definitely not a Vine snake. I would also say Grass snake of some sort.

Looks like a normal Slug Eater to me. How big was it?

Eye is too big for D. Lutrix.

I would say definately a slug eater. It has the dashes along the spine, the slight twotone appearance, the black specks running along the edge of the ventral scales. It's head looks dessicated wich means that the soft tissues lining the socket may have shrunk making the eyes appear larger.
