This "Banded" Snoutie was stuck in a drain cover trying to get away from dogs. Luckly the injuries are minor and it would recover fully. It is about to shed and I cant wait to see the real colours on this one.

Those are very light bands. Once it sheds it should look good. I hope it did not have any internal injuries.

I have R50 on the bet that it is a male. If it is a female I would be very interested in a breeding loan. I have two adult males who would love some company in the spring.

I see there is no shortage of snakes on the West Rand! We are waiting for some snoutie portraits!
We must remember that a photograph can hold just as much as we put into it, and no one has ever approached the full possibilities of the medium - Ansel Adams

   No its a "cuff" snake. It fits around the thumb when you put on fire gloves.

Yes BushSnake, plenty of snakes on the Westrand.
Just this weekend...........
Herald, 2 Whips snakes, Very large Puffie, large Night adder and also the ones we caught herping on Saterday.
They will be relocated because their area will become a big storeroom.
