Kwagga, please. The killing has to stop. It's much easier than you think.
I have had no experience whatsoever in handling venomous snakes, but on Saturday caught a Mozambique spitting cobra- Naja mossambica, in the same area(a plot in Dinokeng North near Pretoria. Not far from Bronkhorstspruit to my knowledge.)
I was totally unprepared but managed to fashion a hook stick out of a PVC pipe and old piece of metal, and used a welding mask for eye protection !
Now I know they are not nearly as aggressive as say N. annulifera, but the advantage of such an aggressive species is that it is far more likely to be easily distracted by a second person when on the hook, making handling much easier.
I will post a photo as soon as I have access to a computer.
But please kwagga, killing is not the way to go.
The way to success has no shortcuts.
