Yes, the gecko is indeed P. punctatus. They are super variable in colour and pattern and have a massive distribution.

Just out of interest, what method did you use to sex the Boomslang? I'm asking because I have seen males with a similar colour to that so I wouldn't sex it simply based on colour.

I have always just looked at the color Wes, no other method was used. I did not know that the color is not a reliable indicator of sex. So might be male, might be female…

Id agree on that Pachydactylus ID as punctus.

The images you captured of the Heliobolis lugabris during its ontogenetic colour change are awesome especially with the juvenile to compare them to. Great stuff
