New Dumerils Cage

New Dumerils Cage

Postby Constrictor Girl » Fri Feb 12, 2010 7:16 pm

This is the Dumerils new cage until they out grow it and then they will get their house in the garden next to the other boa house. Plants have been in there a while settling before I introduce the Dumerils. I think they are going to be long chuffed in there!!

That's a very nice cage. Just be careful that it does not get too hot in there, and also with lights on the humidity will decrease. If it is too low, your snake/s will have trouble shedding.

Thanks BB, there is a heating pad under the water bowl and the humidity stays constant. The cage is about 31 degrees during the day and 27 at night. The cool is is lekke cool and nice gradiant between the two. The cage is about 1.5m long and 1m deep.

Jean-Henri we dont require any permits or CITES papers for these snakes. I know some countries insist on it (like France) but it is actually not a requirement from Cites (Geneva) because it is not "International trade" which is what CITES is supposed to regulate. If we want to export them then that is a whole different story again.
