Our main enclosures have an irrigation system in place. The following videos were taken today and show how active the snakes become during and after a "rain shower". Many of them drink, makes me wonder how many snakes are actually dehydrated, as even our corns drink off leaves....in spite of the fact that they all have clean water bowls they definitely seem to enjoy/prefer this opportunity. The gaboons drink almost every time we irrigate, which is a couple of times a week. We regulate the flow to various cages with little aquarium stoppers on the tubing where necessary, and some species (whitelips, eyelashes etc) get water from a spray bottle daily - but even this doesn't have the same effect on them as a whole cage spray-down. Apologies for the poor quality, just done with the cell phone...
