I have on my western cape topic a picture from on from the overberg region.

I dont think a lot of people keep these in captivity.

Sega : That's a Yellow-bellied House Snake (L. fuscus), not an Olive (L. inornatus)... Second rarest South African House Snake species next to the Fisk's, in my personal opinion... Not common at all!

Viperhunter : Nice specimen, by the way! Looks really healthy. What prey type is it taking, if I may ask?

Now that is the business! That snake looks beautiful and they are ever so rare! Wow. How long has it been captive for?

I know of a New Germany reserve locality specimen, never quite got around to actually taking pictures though ;)

I have never seen one this colour. Mine looked a bit different and more brownish. Will see if I can find pictures of them.

I hope you get this one to eat. I struggled endlessly with mine.

It is nice snake. Dont make problem in captivity. Males are about 40 cm long, female is 55 cm long. I have this two and half year in captivity. Get it as small babies. I hope to breed this next year. What this snake eat ever are pigmy mouse. But now eat baby rats and laboratory mouse babies.
