Had the craziest thing happen to me this morning. I noticed my one Olive House snake was having shedding difficulties so I took her out & spent about 20mins assisting her through her shed. I then placed her in a plastic container on the kombuis counter & put some damp kombuis towel in for her. Left for gym, got home 2 hours later & immediately noticed that she was gone :-(

What I find unbelievable is that I found her back in her cage snuggled under her log with her cage wide open as I had left it before! :-) she actually escaped back into her open cage which was in the lounge! I was so very relieved!

Wow that is amazing, I wish my girl had done that it would have saved me quite alot of hassles and tears :smt022
but in the end at least she was ok. I must be honest though I dont think it is that strange that your baby ended up back in its cage
because I am sure that in certain cases it would have headed back to the place where it felt most comfortable but who knows...
This is the joy as well as the negative about reptiles you can never really know exactly what they will do. I mean with a dog you
can at least hear in its bark if it is angry, happy etc... Not so easy in the reptile world though. I mean I assume my snakes are happy
but for all I know they might hate every moment they are with me...

Oh well I am happy that you did not loose her. :D

If your snake keeps striking at you, he is most probably unhappy??
If your 4m burm give you a BIG snuggy hug and a kiss, he certainly loves you?? :smt007
If your Gaboon Viper keep trying to give you a love bite, He has GOT TO be happy with you? :smt008

Glad you found your Carpet Python. Such pretty snakes..

Hi, If you have a tiled floor you can sprinkle a bit a flour on the floor, a bit of a mess, but then you can see if she is there and to where did she move by the tracks in the flour. Hope you find her!
