It has begun :)

Here is a picture of my stud male Iryan Jaya carpet python.
I find these snakes incredible to work with.People are often turned off by carpet pythons due to them being snappy.I play with mine like cornsnakes and have only been bitten once or twice as a feeding response. They are inquisitive, interesting and very underrated. For those of you that don't know much about them, the Iryan Jaya is a smaller species of Morelia.

Yesterday my one female kicked off my breeding season nice and early and gave me 13 perfect, chicken egg sized eggs for her 1st breeding. She is around 1,6m.The exciting part is that they mate in winter,so it keeps the hobby alive in winter when most of the other animals are sleeping.

Lets hope for some nice babies :)

Very nice man, congrats!! That is nice and early for Carpets, usually they only have their pre-lay sheds this time of year, must be different for KZN.

Hope it goes well.

Great stuff Ferdo.

Not many pure IJs floating around the country, but yours looks nice and pure.

Congrats on the eggs, they look super!

Well done. Nice looking eggs and no slugs even better.
