Bearded Dragon Eggs hatched

Bearded Dragon Eggs hatched

Postby ExoticReptiles » Wed Aug 01, 2012 2:55 pm

Hi guys! I had my first clutch of bearded dragon eggs starting to hatch yesterday and thought I would post some pics here! I know this is not a big deal or anything special, but to me they are as this is my first clutch I have hatched.

Here are some pics

Very nice. Even if they are "common" it is still an achievement to be proud of.

Thanks guys also if you could advise on how do I see what morph they are when this young as the father is yellow and mother is normal will there be a difference in the babies or can you only see if they get older?

@Lilypod you are a bit far from me unfortunately, but will be selling these babies in the next few weeks. Just checked now when I got home and I already have 12 out of the eggs from the 19 eggs.

That's great, I also want to breed with bearded dragons. Everybody wants one, but can't find one near here...

Maybe we can organize something and get a few over to you, just don't know how as I don't think couriers are very reliable

Congratulations on your new babies. Isn't it a great feeling when the little guys have hatched and you see those perfectly formed little lizards? I have a real soft spot for beardies. I had two females that used to lay at around the same time and I once had 59 babies hatch in a week. My male (Blackbeard was his name) was a really magnificent fellow and used to cuddle into my neck and go to sleep while I watched TV. But, sadly, I lost my last old lady a couple of months ago and am now only left with a lot of empty cages and one large cage with two big, fat sub-adult bosc monitors in it!! I will be getting a beardie again, but want to wait until I can find one that is at least a couple of months old.

Enjoy them - they are a hell of a lot of work, but well worth it.
