Congrats Whitelipp, they are beauties! Your set-up looks very nice too. I'm sure they will be very happy.

Thanx guys.Well I do have a waterbowl in each but very small just not to create humidity. The sand I got at the expo from PET MATRIX. Had it in but to much dust.So i cleared out the male's tank and washed the sand.Waiting for it to dry completely before puting it back in.Then the rocks I got on my friends farm close to Roodeplaat dam. Guys at what age would it be possible for the female to be gravid cos she is realy 'fat'.

Both of them ate yesterday. Refused large pinks so I gave them hoppers and they chowed them quickly.
Now according to the care sheet on the site I will only need to feed them in about 4 weeks time.
This gives there livers and kidneys time to deal with the fat content from rodents am I right?
I just love these snakes they are awesome and the female is permanently pissed.

This answered my question if she could be gravid because a gravid snake will not take food or would they?

The sand looks quite coarse so should be find, but mine is a little more coarse. Try putting in a branch and a few dead leaves, mine love to climb and hide in the leaves.
One hopper a month should be fine. Later be prepared for them to fast for three months or so. During summer I spray a corner of the cage once a week or so, this seems to make them active and then they literally whizz around the cage, drinking off the walls; but also from the bowl.

 Thanx badger. Built the tanks myself

Well the permits are not that hard to get.
You have to be a member of the THA, have done a venomous snake handling,Identification and first aid course.
Then you can submit a application.
It takes 15 working days. But mine took longer.
But its worth it. I would rather do things the right way and have all my ducks in a row :smt020

I know this is a super old post...

But do you still have these animals, Im interested in how much they've grown in since you got them?

Thanks
