Unfortunately the Dwarf Adder Venoms are allmost not known yet, but research projects are planned or still ongoing.

Following species are mainly cytotoxic, but are also known to have some neurological effects - maybe it depends on the locality, do not know that myself:

Bitis peringueyi
Bitis caudalis
Bitis xeropaga
Bitis nasicornis
Bitis gabonica ssp.

The following are as far as we do know, only cytotoxic with some effects also on the haemostasis system:

Bitis cornuta
Bitis arietans
Bitis schneideri
Bitis armata
Bitis worthingtoni (Kenyabitis worthingtoni)

The only species with with lots of neurotoxin(s) in the venom is :

Bitis atropos

The following species are not known what kind of venom they do posses:

Bitis albanica
Bitis rubida
Bitis heraldica
Bitis inornata

That's all I know for sure, have been working with the venom of caudalis, peringueyi, xeropaga and cornuta myself - together with a laboratory here in Switzerland. Also gave a sample of xeropaga venom to Dr. Bryan Fry from Australia, when he visited me with his wife, at my place about 2 years ago.

Best whishes
