Got a few things lined up for herp news, just submitted my 2.31 cape cobra from deHoop, an unbelievable male, gorgeous animal.
No didn't get a photo; went back later early evening and one male was already mating underneath a bush with a female that I first recorded in 2003.
Bitis caudalis are said to use fang penetration mating/fighting but this I think is anecdotal.
Hav a paper on ambush site selection in prep re puff adder. But need to finish my book 'Old World Vipers' first.
