Finally I have good news. The first captive breeding, laying and successful hatching of boomslang eggs I have ever managed. We came back from Durban this morning and Bushbaby went to go check on some eggs she had in the incubator. She looked in the tub with the boomslang eggs and there was this little one!!!

and just in case you did not know he was unhappy a close up even showing the blue specks down his back.

He is covered in really fine crappy vermiculite which I will wash off tomorrow. I intend cutting the eggs that have not cut by then to help the others out.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Wow congrats, boomslang juviniles are one of the prettiest snakes imo.

Did you notice the one head sticking out of the egg? I am really excited about this. We hope all eat and grow well. Lets hold thumbs!

Wow, this is really amazing, they are so attractive at this size!

There is very little published (that I know of) on Boomslang mating. If you haven't already, you should consider publishing some breeding data.
