They will normally take white mice but some tricky individuals need to be given quail/chicken chicks.

In captivity Boomslang have been reported to be more aggressive/irratabile during breeding season. I doubt very much whether this would even be noticeable in their “natural habitat” unless you were messing around with them. Enjoy your free range pet I to wish a few would colonize my yard!
