I have heard that these guys will stay in one place for extended periods of time. Unless somebody moves him he will be there for a while.

It looks as if he is in a road judging by the tyre tracks right next to his hole. Possibly moving him far away will not be a bad idea.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

not a road it is just an area that is near 1 and yesterday while trying 2 photograph him my friend drove past!!

Good opportunity to maybe just watch him, thats how I got to do my cape cobra work, never miss an opportinity like this. But if he is in danger of getting squished, then thats another matter.
