Yellow fellow!

Yesterday I picked up a nice specimen at Niels his place. Too bad that he had 2 males in stead of a pair. But I am a happy guy right now!

Now I have to look for a totally yellow female for my male 8)

Looks like an animal that has had a nose-rub but healed and settled now. Nice Specimen

I got this animal from a friend, but as far as I know it hasn't had a nose-rub. Maybe before Niels bought them? But I don't think so :-)

A nivea that isn't hooding? Wow! Very pretty specimen, good luck with him. Just be extra careful, the placid ones know when they can't get you, and when they can.

I have almost never have seen him hooding :-D It is a placid animal indeed, but I still handle him with extreme care :)

Very pretty specimen. Yellow females seem to be less common than the males. Pairing him up with a yellow female would be the best idea but even if he is paired up with another one that is not as bright does not mean the babies will be ugly either.

Will pairing two yellows always give you yellow? Never been quite sure about this? especially the fact that they all look the same as juvies and you need to wait a while to see what actually comes out.

If that's a recessive trait, YES. Unless there are other traits that are even more recessive and can go with yellow coloring.
