Some different Snouties (Naja annulifera) I keep

Postby Richard Mastenbroek » Thu Aug 26, 2010 2:39 pm

Since I have snakes I keep elapids, never owned a pet constrictor in my life. But my biggest love are my snouted cobra's Naja annulifera
To be honest I prefer African Elapids against all other Elapids in the world. :-D

Here are some pictures

A adult breeder pair from Mozambique. I got them true a friend of mine, they are really laid back never hood at all but when opening their viv they fly out mouth open in the hope they get food annie's are real garbagebins and only think about food, I guess this is also why its my favorit Elapid I love my food to :-D :-D

Male tong flicking still has his doubts if there is food or not

My Male gapes and I can play catch the chicken with him he his hillarious and good catcher. Female goes always in full attack on prey. Grabs is it with with shark power on the hemostat to collect her meal.

Not behind mambas in attitude.
I still feel more comfortable handling mambas though.
I like the specimen in pic 14 and 15 the most.
Thanks

I suppose its that incident I'm constantly reminded of when handling them.
That one at TVL Snake park.
What was that guy's name again?
It reminds me of of that time Mattty and I went on a crazy call-out for these a while ago.

Very beautiful animals indeed. I like the close ups on the heads. It seems they eat the prey together with the soil on one.

Ja, that's it.
Tragic. These snakes can take you quickly.
