My name is Uwe ,my mother says it is smoking or freehandling so I stopped and I joined the FHA ,Free Handlers Anonymous. It has been 3 years.
If I'm gonna be an old, lonely man, I'm gonna need a thing, you know, a hook, like that guy on the subway who eats his own face. So I figure I'll be Crazy Man with a Snake, y'know. Crazy Snake Man. And I'll get more snakes, call them my babies, kids won't walk past my place, they will run. "Run away from Crazy Snake Man, " they'll shout!”

Welcome uwe.

First snake venomous I've handled properly with ALL necessary equipment and doing things safely must have been a Bitis arietans or a naja nivea.

For me it was a Rinkhals of about 90cm.
He was as cross as you get after basking in the sun.
He sprayed me with a lot of venom before he decided to play dead. :D

My first venomous snake was a Stileto, did not realise it was a venomous snake until it bit me on the finger. :)
Either then that Puff adder would be my first.

My first was an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. Picked it up before I realized what it was. I was much younger then and I have learned a lot since.
