I heard a report of a poacher being pursued recently. He hid in the reeds by a river until there were enough witnesses and he knew they would not shoot him. He then laughed and did a slow backstoke as he crossed the river knowing they could not get a vehicle around in time. 10 metres from the other side there was a loud splash and a crocodile took him. He was never seen again. Nobody had a permit to shoot the crocodile either and they were worried they might shoot the poacher.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.
