Thanks very much all you guys. Most of the expenses have been covered to fly down. I have herpers from Cape Town picking me up and driving me around. I have also been given accomodation. There will be a braai at Die Fonds on Tuesday night (after the meeting) so if anyone is interested in joining in can call Riaan or Juanita.

I am amazed that so many people pitched in to help. The herpers are a special bunch (not like in the special class, silly) and we have to stand together to save our passion from being destroyed.

I originally said I was not going to down to the meeting to make friends because I could always just accept all the friend requests on Facebook if I needed friends, but it seems I dont even need to do that.

I will try to be diplomatic however and lets see what they come up with. Whether we will actually reach some consensus remains to be seen. I do believe I may have some allies in the fight after all.

Just finished printing all the documentation for BV. Looking at some of the things they have listed which they want to "eradicate".... I am SO glad I am not going cause I will be far too emotional to make sense and come across as an idiot. lol Seriously though, I am holding thumbs that BV can make them see the light.

So when you go down you will be fighting about the list on the 1st page of this thread?

Or about another list of proposed reptiles to be banned?

Maybe I misread another post.

Good luck BV. I really hope people put their agendas behind them and this is discussed with logic and reason.

Done.

Bv phoned me early this morning, already on his way. I will speak to him lunch time and hopefully get an update.

Thanks for everyone's contribution, in which ever way you have contributed.
