Hi

Hi all,

My name is Byron, and I'm an ecologist by profession. I've been keeping snakes pretty much my whole life, so my hobby ties in quite nicely with my job, as I live out in the sticks.

At the moment, herp-wise, I've just got a snouted cobra and a rat snake that I've had for 20 years. I plan on starting to expand my collection again though, as I had to downscale while I studied overseas.

Anyways, I look forward to learning from everyone here.

PS - sorry, I know it's bad form not to post pics - but I've just fed the cobra, so want to give it a couple of days before I disturb it. Will post pics soon after.

The kiss originated when the first male reptile licked the first female reptile, implying in a subtle, complimentary way that she was as succulent as the small reptile he had for dinner the night before.
