SI, good to see that there is more than one club in the Western Cape, please let me know when your club has it's next meeting as I would really like to come and see what your club is involved in and as someone that loves reptiles, see what your members have on display at the meetings. May even be an oppertunity for sharing ideas.

Is there a Herptological Association in the west Rand? (Randfontein, Krugersdorp Roodepoort).
If not, how do we go about starting one? would anyone be interested? THA or ERHA want to open up a 2nd branch?

Robain there was a society on the West Rand but it was rather dodgy and more dope was smoked than herp discussions.

If anyone would like to get one going look towards Krugersdorp side as well because there are a number of our current members residing there.

So sad...
They give our hobby a bad name...
I have only ever been to THA, and it is great to have a get together of people with common intrests sharing information etc in a proffesional manor, but without being overly formal etc.. nice "family".
The only problem I have is the distance involved and the time I get back home...
This is Africa, there are dangerous things in the long grass at night... people...

I am from the West Rand, and find it difficult to get to Pretoria for the THA meetings. I still need to hand in my membership application.

If anyone would be interested to restart a club in the Krugersdorp area, or even have the THA meetings here in the West Rand once in a while, I will offer my time and effort for the arrangements.

Anyone interested can pm me.
